It's my Birthday!... yesterday...
Hahaha... yesterday was a special day... and it was not because of President Bush's state visit to the Philippines...
Yup, like the title says... it was my birthday yesterday!!!
I'm sweet sixteen!
Hmm... I was nearly cut out of this world yesterday... first of all, our dear telephone has no dial tone... and my cellphone was not loaded. Thank God for my tita who sent me load because she was sympathetic that I haven't even thanked anyone who greeted me through text. Oh well...

At last......
After three days of continuously battling with darkness...
After days of *nearly* sleepless nights....
WAHOOOO!!!!!
Tapos na ang periodical exams!!!!
but the real battle is yet to come... and I have no escape.
*gasps*
PTC DAY!!! OH, PTC DAY!!!
The time of judgment...
Have I done my best?
Have I maintained what's best in me?
Have I done it?
oh well...
We still have another week of classes. Duty and batallion on Monday... probably the teachers would already show the results of the exams next week. haay. Can't wait to go to Bacolod and wear my gown for my tita's wedding *I'm a humble usherette!* I just hope we're going to ride the ship... If we are... then it's going to be my first and one of my memorable time....

Today's exam was... not OK. CL, mainly. It was hard! One classmate smacked her body on the lockers out of frustration (OK, it was not so hard.) Huhuhu.
Computer was ok... Visual Basic can be easy once you really try to familiarize your hands with it. And you have to experiment!!!
English... well... fine.
I'm worried about tomorrow's exams. Filipino, Math and Economics. In Filipino, we have to familiarize ourselves with the whole of El Filibusterismo (not if you've been studying and memorizing it before). Math... well, we have parabolas and hyperbolas (and their many parts and equations), then Fundamental Counting Principles, Matrices (and its many equations), Permutation (and its many kinds), Probability (and its many kinds)... hayhayhay! good luck.
In Economics... hmm.... Salapi, Industriya, Paggawa, Agrikultura (and its many Atas ng Pangulo whatever...) and many more.
hrrr. again.
Hahaha!!! We're going to celebrate UN Week! There's a Miss and Mr UN contest, and you know what country was assigned to us? IRAQ! Well, if it were Tibet... joining will certainly come across my mind... even if there'll be a question and answer portion...

My Milk Tooth... and the PT today
Hahaha! I'm still showing everyone the gap where my milk tooth used to reside! Some people were even wondering why a big child like me would still harbor milk teeth in the mouth... oh, well, that's what you get for brushing your teeth too much! Anyway, I'm just too excited to get my braces... OK, I know braces hurt and I might just eat my words if I have it on already, but my teeth has been suffering for too long and it deserves a break.
Had our second periodical exam hours ago! Of course, I found my favorite subject, Physics, very..... hard. Oh, you must know this... I hate it! But I have to accept it, of course... oh... if not for Physics... MAPEH/SCL--- short for Music, Arts, PE, Health, but we don't have Arts and Health as subjects. Arts is incorporated in Music, and Health in PE. SCL is Scout Community Leaders, a version of CAT--- was quite easy.
hrrr.

It WAS a BIG fire!!! Maybe I didn't feel it since I was oblivious to the world (it was just I and the computer screen) and... what were we? Three houses away? Yes... three houses away... and I didn't feel ANYTHING.
Here's what our cook has recounted while I was eating... the owners of the house were away, leaving an old lady and her helper. I don't know what caused the fire, but luckily, Meralco arrived just in time. Manang was saying that while she was walking down the street she saw that our neighbors already had switched off their main switches (that leaves ours, and the house across ours, open). And some friends of hers were asking if our main switches were already switched off. So she ran and yes, rapping frantically. The burning house houses gasul... so thank God the fire did not reach them, else the results would be catastrophic (at least, for us).
Thinking about what happened to the ever reliable firemen? Well, they were called in about the same time as the Meralco people... but because they are so reliable they did not arrive on time. Papa (my grandfather) even said, and Manang agrees, that even until now, their presence are still not felt. Note however, that I'm not taking all the firemen in general. Just those who were called in.

whew! Our dear cook gave us a fright!!! She was frantically rapping on the gate when she came home... she said there was a fire... well, she was right about that. But we thought it was an ultra-big-oh-my-gosh-i'm-dead kind of fire. It was small, actually.
But small or not, my grandma still instructed that the main switches be switched off. For safety resons, you know. And while I must admit I was pissed off when they turned off the lights (since that would interrupt my surfing activity for the second time) maybe it was OK. as long as this lovely house is safe, including us, right?

Oh gosh... my parents and sister just left for Pangasinan... and I still have classes for another 2 weeks. My periodical exam is on Tuesday (but I haven't studied yet! hahahaha!!! better not let my parents see this).
haay. My school still hasn't declared anything about semestral break. My mom even said to me, "Maybe you won't have a sem break anymore?" Aaargh!!! That is unacceptable!!!
I want to share what happened during our three day retreat which started last Tuesday.....
First night at the Betania (Tagaytay City) was grueling. Why? We cried. Even the boys cried. We cried over the experiences that some classmates were able to give. You see, if you are in the cream or the star section, people expect much from you. And that is mostly the gist of our stories. Acceptance. That we aren't far from the ordinary. That we have problems, too. Other people don't see it because they think that all we ever think about are studies. Heck, we don't even excel in sports (compared to others, that is. But we do know how to play)!
Thankfully, the second night was less grueling. We cried, yes, but perhaps with joy. Because we were already reconciliating with others. Isn't that a joy? We even gathered at a small room to exchange ghost stories... hope the bond will extend to the classrooms....
Betania is a nice place... a resting haven from the eyesores in the city. It has a labyrinth where you can pray and meditate (don't worry... you won't get lost there... it has no dead ends and there certainly are no high walls) and the gardens are nice, too. It's peaceful out there.
The glare is giving me eyestrain.
